The life insurance industry frequently publishes statistics showing that the vast majority of people don’t have enough insurance (surprise!). As a result, a lot of life insurance agent training efforts are focused on product distribution with the mindset that “people don’t buy insurance, you have to sell it to them”.
Efforts to boost distribution include sales commissions equal to 50% of the first year’s premium (no wonder most agents recommend more costly cash value insurance rather than term insurance) and sales contests and reward trips.
Cygnet’s approach to insurance is different.
After building your financial plan we’ll look at the numbers together. If you really do have a legitimate need for insurance, you’ll see it for yourself and be able to make an informed decision about what to do. Because we aren’t captive agents and aren’t obligated to any single company, our independence allows us to search for the best rates from over 80 companies.
On the other hand, if you don't really need insurance we'll tell you so. And, since we do not participate in sales contests or trips, you can take comfort that your insurance needs are being analyzed based on your needs and not our vacation plans.
